I am still choosing between applying to Lafayette or NYU for ED.
I have a higher chance of getting into Lafayette, but NYU is obviously better.
GPA: 3.45
SAT: 1360 (I am going to take it for the last time in November to increase my reading school to at least a 650. I currently have a 770 in math, 590 in reading)
Classes: 3 AP’s
Race: Asian (1st generation)
Public School: 26th in entire state
My GPA is so low because I had a really difficult year in sophomore year, my mental health interfered with my academics. It was to the point where I couldn’t go to school. I managed to bring it up by .2 in junior year.
EC’s:
-president club for mental health and I am planning on hosting an event in the fall to spread awareness in my community
-cross country (3 years)
-diversity club (3 yrs)
-track and field (4 yrs)
-did the musical in 10th grade (won best musical. If I do it again this year, it would be 2 yrs)
-a summer job as a camp counselor (3yrs)
-volunteered for trail work (2 yrs)
-part of the school newspaper (4 yrs)
-part of against guns and violence club (2 yrs)
-new beginnings club: teaching kids on stem/math (4 yrs)
-exploring justice club (3 yrs)
-club for teaching kids at different schools (1 yr)
-100+ hours of volunteer
