Please chance me on public colleges and others?

Hi I am a high school senior from a public high school in California(ranked in top #250 in us news high school rankings). I have about a 3.8 uw and a 3.93 w gpa. My ec's are 250+ hours volunteering at a hospital(working with sick children), I was on the jv golf team for 1 year and on the varsity team for two years now, and 2 years in Teach club at my school. I also have a great ceramics portfolio. Also, I creates a very successful app with my dad and have spoke on JDRF's children's congress at the white house to raise more money for type 1 diabetes. I have a great recommendation letter from my counselor, math teacher, and english teacher. I have a 2100 sat and 30 act. I plan on majoring in education/child dev./sociology. What do you think my chances are of getting into:

Can you give us breakdown of SAT score?
U of Oregon: super safety. Try honors college.
UCLA/UC Berkeley: reach(low GPA)
other UC schools: low reach-high match
Vassar College: reach(low gpa)

UC GPA 4.21

If your UC GPA is 4.21 then it might be high match or low reach for UCLA/UC berkeley and match for other UC schools, but Vassar is still reach. Again, what’s your SAT breakdown?

UCLA/UCB: High Match
SLO/UCSD: Match
UCI/UCD/UCSB: Low Match
Chico State/U of Oregon: Safety
Vassar/BC/W&M: ??? IDK

Cr:690 Math:710 Writing:700

@Gumbymom‌ Vassar college is one of top 15 liberal arts college and very selective so unless the OP has at leas 700+ in every section and has higher GPA it will be difficult…since UC GPA doesn’t matter to Vassar College.

Midpoints for Vassar (taking middle point of 25%-75% range) in SATs are:

700 CR
690 M
705 W

And the OP has a 3.8 uw GPA (not the UC GPA). I would say Vassar is match for the OP. Question is whether it is affordable, though.

@intparent‌ where did you get the numbers?(not saying you are wrong, just curious).

!

Actually, those numbers are a year old. Here is a link to the 2013-2014 Common Data Set (best source). Midpoints based on that are:

705 CR
690 M
705 W

So 5 points higher (average) on the CR numbers that i said above.

<a href=“Institutional Research – Vassar College”>Institutional Research – Vassar College;

Now… I am guessing the OP is female, which means higher scores may be needed, since more women than men apply to Vassar. So it may be a high match. Certainly scores over 700 would help. Her GPA is good enough.

@intparent‌ thank you for the updated information :-)

UCD would definitely be in your reach. I had way lower SAT and ACT scores and I got in
