good recs

thats about it. My parents have been beating on my for my SAT, i've taken it twice, and i'm stuck at 1860. Same deal with ACT, a 28. I know I desperately need to break 2000, which I hope I will in october. Other than that, what do you guys think?

Personally, I’d recommend this book: [Amazon.com: Up Your Score (2011-2012 edition): The Underground Guide to the SAT (9780761158738): Larry Berger, Michael Colton, Manek Mistry, Paul Rossi, Workman Publishing: Books](http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0761158731/)

Keep in mind that UVA focuses more on essays and GPA than test scores, so don’t freak out too much if your score doesn’t improve significantly.

I’ve gotten too many books already. using the official collegeboard book right now.
also, made a typo that it won’t let me edit. my UW gpa is 3.97, not 4.97
