AP’s: Calc AB (5) and BC (5)
IB’s: Chem SL (6) Econ SL (6)

Prospective Major: Poli Sci/Public Policy/Econ/Biochem. Strong pre-med focus.

Attends competitive, public IB school with a pretty good reputation (6-10 Ivy acceptances each year)

Senior year: IB Math HL, IB French SL, IB English HL, IB TOK, IB Bio HL, Regular Health

Activities: HOSA (pre-health organization; state finalist frosh and jr year and qualified to internationals), FBLA (2nd at Nats, 8th at states, 2nd at regionals soph year), Lots of local advocacy (organ donation, cancer society, local youth tobacco conference), Participate in school-required research project, Wrote personal research project about PTSD and may (fingers crossed!) have it published in scientific journal, help mentor (MD) run classes for other MD’s about emergency medicine (informal internship), CSSSI '17 (surgery internship @ Stanford)

Leadership: HOSA School Chapter Pres (11-12), Keynote speaker at pre-med conference, audience of 300 (10-11), President of Pink Dot Club (organ donation awareness)

CM Piano Lvl 8 (testing for 9 this year), 2nd chair in school orchestra freshman year

Essays are pretty good; not sure if they count as stellar.

LOR’s: IB Bio should be great; worked with her extensively for all 4 years as both a teacher and club advisor and she knows me as a person. IB Math should be pretty good b/c doing an IB Math option nobody else at my school ever did in 20-ish years; got high A’s in class from soph and jr year. The supplementary letter should be great; mentor knows me well since frosh year and can really talk about the personal aspect and my personal aspirations.

Thanks so much in advance, and sorry for the cringy grammar!
