Please chance me SCEA

I am an Asian student applying to Yale SCEA Program.
Ranking: Non-Ranked
GPA: Not used in my school
Curriculum: IGCSE + IB
IGCSE: I got a E in English duirng Y9, got Cs for Science during Y9-Y10, others are fine.
IBDP: 32/45

English is not my native language

TOEFL: 108
SAT1: 1530
SAT2: Physics: 800, Math2: 800

Am I qualified for consideration for grades above? (will my school grade cause me to be “cut-off”?) Is there any chance for me to get in with great activities, strong recommendations, and good essays?

Chance threads are really not helpful because they only have raw numbers and in most cases just list off things you have done but there is no way to say how it compares to everyone that happens to apply at the same time. My best suggestion is to go back and look at the last two years accepted students results and see what they had on their academic resumes and how you compare. Keeping in mind that you are not competing with them either. Each year will be different. Best of luck to you.

These “chance me” threads are difficult. My son is at Yale and my youngest is applying early to a different “reach” Ivy. There, and Im sure Yale is similar, if you have perfect -1600 SATs and a 4.0 grade average you have roughly a 20% chance of admission. This is a lottery and perfection is merely your right to buy a ticket.

You never know, but I have never met a Yale admit with an IB score so low. Lowest I heard was about 42 out of international students I met. All you can do is wait and see, but in your shoes I would be casting a wide net of backup options.
