Please chance me.. spring transfer I hope

Could anyone please tell me if UVA is a match for me.

I would like to apply to the business school.

Currently: Sophomore at Loyola Marymount University
College GPA: 3.6
Extracurriculars/Internships:
-President of 3 university dorm buildings
-Intern/Brand Analyst at a Marketing firm in Los Angeles
-Club tennis
Recommendations:
-One from a professor
-One from the CEO of the company I intern at
Reason for transferring:
In the Spring of my Freshman year my father passed away. I had to return home for almost twenty days. I choose to go back to school and finish out the semester (getting a 3.6 even with all that was going on in my life). I would like to transfer to start fresh, somewhere with great academic opportunities, internships, etc.
Residency: Washington State

Thank you

Seems like you have a compelling case to me. They will probably be assessing your High School stats too, so it is hard to wager your chances without having that information.

i got a 3.52 and i dont think they want SAT scores…

SAT scores unless your more than four years out of high school.

Are you transferring as a 2nd or 3rd year? Are you continuing to attend Loyola Marymount now or are you taking a year off? As a second year, you wouldn’t apply directly to the Commerce school, you’d apply to one of the other schools, most likely Arts and Sciences…as a 3rd year you could apply to the Comm school, but admissions is very very tough as an OOS, direct transfer to Comm for a 3yr. If you are taking a year off, expect to explain to the AdCom what you will or have done over that period of time.

SAT scores will be requested (not SAT II) and so will a HS transcript…unless, as someone said, you are more than 4 years out.
