No Vandy on your list even though you’re from Tennessee?
Purdue should be a match. The other OOS publics will be a high match since they will prioritize in-state students. You should add UIUC or UW Madison as well since they have good engineering programs.
Stanford is a reach for anyone, but you have a pretty decent chance as a URM with high GPA/standardized scores.
i’m confused. your other posts indicate you’re a sophomore, so why are you looking at colleges and worrying so early on in your high school career? regardless, with your current stats, you seem on track for purdue, umich, and uta, though they prioritize in-state students, so you’re definitely not a shoe-in. stanford and columbia are reach/lottery schools for everyone since they are the first and third most selective universities in the country respectively, so no one can tell you if you’ll be accepted, waitlisted, or rejected.
UMich CoE would be a reach with GPA at or slightly below admission average. Both ACT composite and Math section scores are at the 75th percentile, but their OOS admission rate was in the mid teens last year (21% overall). Race is considered in their admission as it is banned by law.
In June of this year you posted, “I’m a rising sophomore who is debating whether or not I should take AP Bio… I’m nervous because if I do take it this will be my first AP class.”
However, above you list the following, “APs: APUSH (5), AP Stats (5), AP Chem (4) ; plan on taking Calc AB and Bio next year”
So, are you a sophomore taking your first AP this year, or are you a junior that took three AP’s sophomore year??
Yes, it does not make sense. With 3 AP scores already and he is planning to take 2 more AP next year. Those scores are from sophomore year? Seems like another make up post.
