Please Chance Me! Thank you!

I know I have posted before but I just want a more specific evaluation of my chances for a specific school at the moment. I just got my second SAT score today. It wasn't as high as expected so I am freaking out a bit. Wellesley College is my dream school. I am a senior this year.

Ethnicity: Asian/ Chinese

School: I'm in Mission San Jose High, #1 high school for math and science this year across the nation. #36 all around. Very competitive.

Rank: I am not sure. My guess is top 15%

SAT: First time- 1700 CR: 620 M: 550 W:530
Second time- 1920 CR: 730 M: 570 W: 620

SAT II: US History - 720
Chinese - 800

G.P.A.: Unweighted - 3.5 Weighted: 3.9

AP/ College Credit Classes taken: 11

5 years of Chinese, 3 years of French

4 teacher recommendations ( I expect them to be very strong because I'm on very personal and good relations with all four of my teachers)

Extracurriculars:

President of Peer Resource Class

Founder/President of A La Mode Fashion Club

Vice President/ Publicity Officer of American Cancer Society Club

Fremont/ Newark District YMCA Youth and Government Delegate

ROP Student of the Year Award 2011

LeadAmerica Nomination for Stanford Law & Trial Conference

Just landed an internship in the California State Assembly (starting soon)

Model United Nations for 2 years

Honorable mention of my painting in the Argus newspaper in freshmen year

Before I got my SAT score today ( I thought I would have gotten through the 2000s range, so I was a bit surprised) I wanted to apply Wellesley College Earlyn Decision. However, with a 1920, my parents and I can't decide whether or not to still continue. Should I take my SAT again in December? (Taking another SAT II test in November) Is it still a good idea to apply early? What are my chances for early and regular? & what more can I do for my extracurriculars?

Please reply! Thank you!

Can someone please chance me?! I REALLY want some feedback! I would appreciate anyone willing to do so!!! THANKS!

Another college hopeful here, so don’t take what I say too seriously.

I guess this is a little late for ED unless Wellesley extended it for the snow storm, but I think you should go ahead and apply - only a chance it’ll help you. If you do happen to get deferred, that’s when the new SAT scores would be helpful - and improved scores will definitely help with other colleges you apply to RD.

I think your SAT scores are a little low especially considering you’re at a school focused on math and science, but I just came over after lurking through the Ivies forum so maybe my judgment is skewed. If you look at the school’s stats here for class of 2015 it shows you as below average for math and writing, but above for reading. Only 19% of applicants with your math score were accepted, so I hope you’re not planning on a math major…

Your extracurriculars seem pretty good and I’m sure the strong recommendations will help out a lot. Maybe four is a bit excessive, though? Unless that’s the amount Wellesley is asking for.

Good luck!
