Your GPA and test scores are low for UC Berkeley, UCLA, USC and UC San Diego. You need over a 4.0+ UC GPA and test scores in the 2100+/31+ range for a decent chance at these schools. You have good EC’s but your academics need a boost.

With your test scores and GPA, I would cross Berkeley, Michigan, Chicago, and UPenn off your list. As an international, and especially an Asian applicant, you’ll be compared against people with scores in the 2200+ range and near-perfect GPAs.

As an out-of-state applicant, the UCs are going to cost you more than $50,000 a year. Can you afford that?
