I belong to the World Language Honor Society, big buddies club (we tutor Spanish speaking children) and I am the president of big buddies this year. I coordinated and planned a cell phone drop for a charity called stepping stones Nigeria. I worked at a summer camp in the city called the big apple games for 2 summers. I went to Washington DC for the National Youth Leadership Forum on medicine for 10 days in the summer. I volunteered at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center in NYC for 10 hours per day, 5 days per week this past summer and continue to do this once a week during this year. I also have a part time job as a waiter during the week.
The reason for me throwing all this information at you is to see if I would have a chance at any of these schools. (I want to go for premed and major in Neuroscience).

Anyone chance?

anyone? please lol

helpppp???

What is your cumulative GPA and SAT/ACT score?

3.3 gpa
and a 28 act first try. I get the second score tomorrow

My gpa is low, but I increased my grades each year (as you can tell)…

Uh…Those numbers are rather low for a lot of those schools. I don’t know enough about some of the schools, but here are your chances for the ones I know.

University of Maryland - College Park = Reach
Cornell University = Unrealistic
Johns Hopkins University = Unrealistic
New York Institute of Technology = Unrealistic
Boston University = Reach
Syracuse University = Reach (I think, don’t know too much about the school)

Okay… Don’t post on this forum again please because you have no clue what you’re talking about…
University of Maryland is an easy school for me.
Cornell- reach
Hopkins- reach
NYIT- easiest!
Boston- likely
syracuse- likely
So don’t post here because you have no clue what you’re talking about.

Sorry I thought it was NYU (I skimmed through the names and then copied the list), ignore that comment. As for Syracuse, Boston and Maryland they are becoming increasingly competitive, the GPA is just too low for them to be matches.

if you already knew what the schools were for you why would you ask to be chanced…

I second what OP said. Also there is a difference between reach and unrealistic which you are not acknowledging.
