Schools:
UT Austin
U of M Twin Cities
Rice
Johns Hopkins
Georgia Tech
Texas A&M
A&M: I would say it is a low match. If you can get a $1,000 scholarship, they will give you in state tuition.
Georgia Tech: This school superscores. If you have another math score to combine with your 800 reading, you could have a much better SAT. Georgia tech is in the top 5 best engineering schools in the country. You are a match for them.
UT Austin: I am very familiar with this school and we’ll be competing to get in:P It is harder to get in because only 10% of students can be both international or OOS. This lowers the already hard 27% acceptance rate into the engineering school. I would say this is a high match.
Rice: A reach.
Johns Hopkins: Reach
Twin Cities: Match
I think you lack extracurriculars which could help a lot at schools like Rice and Johns Hopkins making them even harder to get into because the look more holistically than other schools.
Thank you so much Good luck with UT! All the best!
