PLEASE CHANCE ME: Vandy-Dartmouth- William and Mary- Brown- Duke

<p>Hi everyone! Please tell if it is possible for me to get into Brown, Vanderbilt, Duke, Dartmouth, or William and Mary based on my stats! Vanderbilt is the top of my list. I am planning to apply EDI or EDII to these universities as well. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! THANK YOU :D </p>

GPA: 3.9 (unweighted)
AP: Euro (4), Bio (4), US History (5), Spanish (5), English Composition (5) -- taking English, US Government, and Environmental Science this year
Class Rank: top 10 possibly 5</p>

<p>Extracurricular: numerous leadership conferences, dance ( 10 yrs.), summer camp counselor for children with special needs, CLubs at school: PRO-Life, Friends of Exceptional CHildren, Key Club, Servants of the Poor, Spanish CLub, School Magazine, Internship at local hospital over 2 summers accumulating in over 120 hours, Ronald McDonald House Red Show Crew (extremely active), over 200 hrs. in tutoring at Dumas Wesley Center ETC. </p>

<p>Awards: Daily Points of Life Award (high competitive), Presidential Service Award, Sophomore Girl of the Year, NHS, School Ambassador, AP Scholar, Azalea Trial Maid (huge honor in my city), many national awards for community service - more but I can't remember at the moment</p>

<p>Additional Community Service: For the past four years I have personally raised over $12,000 for my local Children's and Women's Hospital by organizing a Charity Fashion which incorporates teenagers for local high schools and patients at the Hospital to model in this event. I collected gently used clothes and brought them to inner city school children to provide for them necessary clothing items. </p>

<p>P.S. I plan on applying to the Peabody School at Vanderbilt to major in Human and Organizational Development - will this increase my chances?</p>

<p>Your UW GPA is good, but you might want to raise your ACT scores if applying to Vanderbilt. As is the common consensus on these forums, Vanderbilt tends to be more test-concious than at other schools.You should also know you can only apply ED to one school (unless of course you mean that you are planning to apply EDII to a different school if you don’t get in EDI). Your EC’s are very strong, but have taken been commited to these organizations and taken leaderships if possible? Also, having an alumni of a certain school write a recommendation won’t help significantly unless that person also knows you very well and can write about you personally. (I’m not familiar with a president role at a school, is it the same thing as a principal?) Your are a good applicant, but raise that ACT score up to make yourself more competitive. Good luck!</p>
