<p>Hi guys, I am a male from Northern VA, attend a a very well-known and revered, private high school in DC..in the upper income bracket..If you could please chance me, I'd really appreciate it. I am applying to UVA, William and Mary, Villanova(Engineering), JMU, VaTech(Engineering, but if not accepted, application goes into Arts and Sciences pool), Wake Forest, Marquette. I was already accepted into UGA..</p>

Race: White
Income: Upper
Grades: 3.8 W GPA probably around a 3.5 UW
SAT : 2000 ( 700 Math, 630 CR, 670)
SAT II: (670 US History, took math 1 today after not doing too great on math 2, i definitely scored above a 700)
Course Load: Decent amount of AP's and Honors are offered. I will have taken probably around 8 Honors, and 4 AP's after graduating. So far I got a 4 on US History Exam.
Rank: My school doesnt rank, but I am about at the 25-33% mark I'd guess.
School : No Phillips Exeter, but it well known and is known as having difficult academic rigors. Private in DC
EC: Pretty good, I am an Eagle Scout, I volunteered in the Neurological Dept. at my local hospital. I have run JV/Varsity XC for my school soph-senior year. I am in an Italian Club. I work as a Cashier at my local pool. I am on the retreat team at my school, which surprisingly, take up loads of time.
Teacher Recs: Very good, as they were written by arguably the beat teacher at my school who can write recs.
Counselor Rec: probably fairly general, but she really liked me and noticed that I took responsibility at an early stage
Essays: I wouldn't say that they are excellent, but they are pretty good.
Hooks: Nothing really. My main Common app essay had to do with the effects my adopted sister from CHina, had on me.</p>

<p>I think the only reach for you is UVA. The rest are matches/safeties. W&M and Wake Forest might be reaches since you’re in the same state as those schools. However, you have a good shot at all these colleges; just apply and wait until their decision.

<p>You should be in at VaTech, JMU and Marquette. UVA and W&M are always hard for NoVa kids to get into, so I’d say with that GPA and class rank, these 2 colleges would be reaches. I’m from Northern Virginia as well, and I got into William & Mary with a 3.91/4.0 GPA and a 2030 SAT, but I did apply ED which helped a bit though. Wake Forest would be a low reach I’d imagine. My predictions are purely based on GPA, your location, and your SAT. Can’t predict how much your ECs and essays will factor in, so remember that those can matter a lot too!</p>
<p>Your GPA and your projected class rank seem to be weak. i would say you have the average SAT score for UVA and William & Mary but you are in-state so that always boosts your chances. i definitely think you have a shot at all your schools.</p>

<p>In all honesty these schools are all matches with the exception of maybe wake and uva. Wake is a low reach, and from what Ive heard NoVa makes it difficult to fet into uva even though its in state so low reach again</p>

<p>Pretty good shot. With these schools, nobody is a lock. But, your grades are pretty good along with a strong cirriculum. That should most certainly help. Volunteering in a hospital also helps. Something I think that will really set you apart is being an eagle scout.</p>
