<p>Hello! I am looking to apply ED to Wellesley this fall (approximately 55-59% acceptance for ED). </p>

<p>My Stats: Academic
GPA: 3.45 UW, 4.1 W
Rigor: HIGH
ACT: 34
APs: 4s and 5s only
SAT 2s: USH: 720 LIT: 750
No Rank but according to Michelle Hernandez's book my gpa puts me in the top 12%.</p>

<p>Why Wellesley Essay: really good!</p>

<p>THE WORST PART: I got 4 Cs jr yr (2 per sem) Math and AP Chem wrecked me.</p>

<p>ECs: I'm heavily involved. I'm hugely passionate about Activism. That's why I'm looking to major in history and get a minor in peace/conflict studies.
-Youth Commission (work w/mayor) - highly selective only 13 kids - also secretary
-SURF (Work w/superintendent of district) - selective only 2 kids per school
-JSA State Cabinet (various positions in activism)
-ASB (Various positions)
-Amnesty Intl Individual Activist Program
-Unicef High School President
-DoSomething Club president (won a club grant for my own Stand Up for America Project)
-Best Buddies E program = penpal w/disabled kids
-Operation SMILE - Own program started at RMDH (for sick kids) used to be here when I had an illness so I wanted to go bk and help
-Do research for a non-profit aiming to better education for kids in 3rd world countries
-Girls for a change coach = lead jr high kids in carrying out a 1/2 yr long project on issue of their choice
-Interned at Hospital Lab</p>

<p>I know I did really bad junior year. I am going to have my quarter senior grades reported though and if I get all A's do you think I will have a chance? junior year was quite a yr of change for me bc my dad left us for work and i had a lot of responsibility for the house and it was the last year of treatment for me for an illness i was born with. I know I should not make excuses but I really want to Wellesley. It is my absolute dream school. Do I have a chance?</p>

<p>I think you have a really good chance with those stats especially with your ACT score and ECs which can counteract that GPA which isnt horrible ;p good luck chance me back</p>

<p>I still think you have a really good shot. It seems to me like wellesley, although they do count heavily on scores, really focuses on the person’s passion and rigor. I think if they see an upward trend in marks and a passionate “direction” they are more willing to admit you. Also, the fact that you are applying ED really helps. Luck:)</p>

<p>Don’t sweat your junior year too much! Your weighted GPA is still pretty strong and your ACT scores are stellar!! Your EC’s really mirror what you’re interested in and they show a passion which is great. I really think you have a really good shot! Good luck!</p>
