<p>Please chance me for the Cornell School of Hotel Administration! I am a junior in high school.</p>

<p>Stats:
UWGPA: 3.79
WGPA: 4.1
School has always been in the top 10 High Schools
School does not do rankings
SAT: Around a 2100 (I took it and got this score, but I want to retake it and get a higher one)
APs: Bio, Macro/Micro, Stat, APUSH, Psych, Calc AB, Gov, Lang</p>

<p>ECs:
- Girl Scout for 8 years (got bronze, silver, and gold awards)
- Secretary, VP, and President of Key Club
- Biology Olympiad
- Crew
- Debate (won a couple local competitions and placed fairly well at nationals)
- Yearbook </p>

<p>Work Experience (I heard that this is really really important in applying):
- I was a hostess at a restaurant
- Internship at Hilton Worldwide </p>

<p>Other information:
Financial aid: No
Legacy: Yes, my brother goes to the engineering school
Race: White/Other (depending on the form)
Planning on applying ED
My teacher recs should be decent/good, but my counselor one is probably going to end up being generic
I have been told I have good essay writing skills and I interview well</p>

<p>Your GPA is decent but not a dealbreaker if you can bring it up during this year and next. Definitely retake the SAT and aim for above a 2200. Your clubs are decent as well but your work experience shows that you are interested and have demonstrated achievement in the field you intend to go into, which is very good. </p>

<p>You’re chances are pretty decent. Work on bringing up that SAT and maintaining a good GPA. And also make sure that you take at least two SAT subject tests. With that, I’d say its a high match since you have a relative in Cornell and also have an internship at a Hotel. Early Decision is also a great way to increase your chances. </p>

<p>I agree with ramzee about the SAT subjects and the other stuff that he mentioned. I don’t much about Cornell’s school of Hotel Administration (sounds legit :slight_smile: ), but if you get in the ballpark of 2200 on the SAT, you will be fine. ED helps a ton. Your gpa is a bit low on the unweighted side, but then again your school seems to be competitive since it is in the top 10, so it’s all good.

<p>If this is your top choice and you apply ED, it is a match to a high match (meaning about a 65% probability of admission). Regular decision, it is probably a low reach. Do try to get you SAT above a 2200.</p>
