Stanford
MIT
Columbia
Duke
Cornell
Rice
Northwestern
Carnegie Mellon
UC berkeley
UCLA
UCSD

Thanks

bump bump bump 10char

bump bump bump

Youre SAT 1 and SAT2 scores are very very good, so I doubt you have to worry about those anymore. Your EC’s are decent, but theyre pretty stereotypical with all being related to your violin abilities. You are also ORM from california, which is a bad combo. Your gpa is decent, but not outstanding in anyway; what is your rank?

Chances:
Stanford-high reach
MIT-high reach
Columbia-reach
Duke-mid reach
Cornell-mid reach
Rice-low reach/high match
Northwestern-low reach
Carnegie Mellon-high match
UC berkeley-match
UCLA-match
UCSD-safety

chance back please

I’m in top 10% last time I checked (first semester junior year…my counselor changed and the new one won’t tell me my rank)

Stanford and Columbia are high reaches, all else you shouldn’t worry incredibly too much about :P

chance me? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/780607-chance-me-vanderbilt-emory-wake-forest.html#post1063250698

Stanford and Columbia high reaches, MIT to a degree but not as much as the two I just mentioned, but I see no reason why you can’t get into Rice and bellow on your list. Your SAT scores and SAT II scores, along with how you’ve done in AP Calc AB and BC are extremely strong however. Do well in AP Physics C and AP Lit (A’s) and it should round out your GPA nicely. If you stay the course though you shouldn’t see a lot of bumps along the way. Good luck with Stanford, MIT and Columbia!

Chance me! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/780657-chance-me-poor-hs-record-dominating-jc-record.html haha

@Ponce do u mean i have higher chance of getting into MIT than Stanford and Columbia?

I’m applying to Columbia SEAS btw

Slightly higher yes

Your chances to stanford and the Ivies will need a really good essay to be within reach. As for Berkeley, NWestern, should be no problem. Your reading is great :)
Chance me too ^^ ty: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/780899-chance-me-please-2210-sat.html

You have fantastic board scores, a rigorous schedule, and a developed EC in your violin. Yes, all these schools are very challenging to get into and they are reaches for everyone, but there is no reason you cannot be a competitive applicant. At this point, focus on your essays and make yourself stand out to the admissions committee. Everything else seems to be in line. Good luck and don’t stress too much!

I’ve been looking for some feedback myself:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/778069-chance-my-tentative-list-please.html

Everything looks solid to say the least. There’s lot to be said for someone that challenges themself with AP courses and clearly you have done that

Stanford-high reach
MIT-high reach
Columbia-reach
Duke-mid reach
Cornell-low reach
Rice-high match
Northwestern-low reach
Carnegie Mellon-match
UC berkeley-match
UCLA-match
UCSD-safety

I mostly agree with NWdivisionCHAMPS, but with a few exceptions. Best of luck

Stanford-small reach
MIT-reach
Columbia-reach
Duke-mid reach
Cornell-reach
Rice-match
Northwestern-high match
Carnegie Mellon-match
UC berkeley-low reach
UCLA-match
UCSD-match

Ivies are hard for anybody, you can be the perfect student and still get denied. Same goes for MIT and Stanford.

Do me, I only got one school to match for.
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/781022-chance-me-skidmore-ill-chance-back.html

hmm i’ve known 6 ppl who got into Stanford and around 4 who got into Columbia…i havent yet seen anybody get into MIT

bump bump bump

bump bump bump bump

I would think MIT is the definite reach and the highest, next is Stanford, then Columbia. but your stats fall within or above all of the ranges for the other schools. Also, your EC’s wont sway decisions THAT much over your GPA and SATs. Your in good shape.
