What are my chance for UCF? I really hope to get in, especially after visiting the campus. It is truly a beautiful school with strong quality education. If possible please also chance me for UF, FSU, FGCU, and UM. These are other schools that I would also be applying to and would love to go to as well.

Thank you guys so much! :)

Your GPA is pretty solid for UCF, apply early and you should get in. You’ll get into FGCU also. I will also say you’d get into FSU. UF and UM are oddballs for me, I don’t have any experience with them…
Great senior schedule and class ranking. Your SAT is a little on the low side (UCF’s avg. is between 1170-1300 CR+M), have you considered taking it again, or maybe trying the ACT? I’m sure you’d be okay without doing that though…just a suggestion because it is becoming a more competitive school.
Good luck! :)

I have faith that you will get admitted. GOOD LUCK :)

Ty guys. I’ll be retaking the SAT in October and I’m going to take the ACT.

If I could predict, you’ll get in:) a lot stronger GPA and test scores then myself; should have no problem. You actually have a great chance at fall, so I would request that, unless you’re interested in summer. Don’t worry, you’re fine:)

Lol thanks fluidity. I’m aiming for the fall term.

You’re easily in at FGCU and I think both UCF and FSU are maybes with your current score. Right now Miami and UF would be reaches. Your GPA and ECs are very good though so I think if you go back and kick butt on the SAT, you can up your chances for all the schools. Have you considered adding USF to your list or any other privates (which tend to put less weight on just the scores)?

Also, I was wondering (and this actually took me out of lurkdom lol), have you ever been tested for a learning disability? Usually people have a similar breakdown for subsections and a 100 + point gap in the scores could indicate a LD. I ask as someone with a LD who got approved for extended time on the SAT. It helps a lot!

Either way, I think you’d benefit from re-taking.

Thanks wearypenguin. I think it’s mainly the reading score I got to improve. I also am going to apply to USF (Im a but shocked I forgot to mention that :P). I’m going to shift my focus to the ACT for a bit and see if that’s my kind of test. If a few practice tests of the ACT show to me that it’s not my kind of test, then I’ll shift my focus back to SAT.

Also I don’t think I have a learning disability. :stuck_out_tongue: I tend to do well on my SAT practice tests. The first time was a small struggle, the second time I was pretty good (i think it’s just the curve wasn’t high enough so I never got my 500+), and third was just terrible for me (Bad test center that had workers with their tools outside, some kid whistling constantly, etc.; I also was sick that day and couldn’t study beforehand since I was busy with studying for finals and doing a rush of projects).

Ty again!
