Please chance me?

Hi, and thanks for reading this post. I'm going to be a senior this year.

UCLA is the university at the top of my list of wanting to get into, and I'd just like to see how I'd fair with admission based on what I've got right now. My test taking scores are terrible, and my extracurriculars aren't very magnificent either, but here it goes...

Overall Wtd. GPA 4.35 (rank 10/568)
"A-G" Wtd. UC GPA 4.22 (rank 16/568)

SAT 1750
SAT subject Math II 510
SAT subject US History 660
ACT 26

Candidate in IB program
Treasurer of IB club
JV lacrosse (Sophomore year)
President of Natural Disasters Recovery club (tentative)
Volunteer at Wild Life Reservation (Junior and Senior year)
Dance classes (Junior and Senior Year)
Golf, have yet to get into Varsity (Senior Year)
Choir member at my church (Six years)

I'll be retaking my ACT, SAT, and take another set of SAT subjects this year. Hopefully I'll get better scores. So, what are my chances?

Once again, thank you for reading. :)

Your GPA/class rank are good, but you really do need to get your SAT up into the 2000+ range to have a realistic chance.

Like theHutt said, just make sure you get your ACT 30+ or your SAT 2000+. That’s about the only gaping hole in your application.

Your standardized test scores are far too low. You’ll probably be rejected unless you’re a minority living in a less well off school district.

work on your SATs this summer.

Really work on your SATs! Your GPA is good just try to get you subject test to high 600’s/700’s they show you have talent in the noncore subjects. Keep up the community service, that always looks good.

dont listen to all these people about SAT’s. I got a full ride with only 1810 and my two friends got in with lower then 1700’s

^Dragonslays is partly correct, it isn’t all about Sats. But, getting those scores higher will definitely improve your chances, along with a good personal statement. Also, it’ll depend on the majors you’ll be applying for.
