Hiiiii! Sorry if these threads are annoying, but I'm just dying to know if I've got a chance at Wellesley. It's my definite top choice if I'm lucky enough to get in. Also, would you recommend ED, EE, or RD for me?

Your stats are very similar (or better in some ways) to my DD’s, who will be freshmen at Wellesley in the fall. I think that you are a well-rounded student. If you are not going to retake SAT, you can submit only your ACT score 31 which is above the average score 30.
In your case, if you are sure Wellesley is the college you will definitely attend, you can apply for ED. Otherwise, you should apply for EE so that you can get early notice (likely, probably or unlikely) by the end of February. I guess that your chance is >=80%. My last remark is that you should make enough effort to write excellent essays for your college applications and
most likely this will be decisive factor. Good luck!

I probably will end up just submitting the ACT, but I will still retake the SAT for other schools just in case. I really hope I am fortunate enough to get in, as I am 100% sure that this is the school I will attend if I get accepted. :)

If you’re 100% sure that this is the school you will go to if you get accepted, then I would suggest ED. Your chances are highest with the ED option. If you suddenly change your mind in the coming months and you’re iffy, go EE for sure cause it’s non-binding yet you basically find out your decision at the ned of February. The ED and EE have higher chances of acceptance than the RD.

And like the other poster, wow Swells with your essays. They can make or break your app.

Thank you for the info and encouragement, ligers! I think I will end up applying ED. This is all so nerve-racking! Accepted or not, I just wish I could know right now, haha.

I agree with Ligers. The essays might as well be the most important part of your app~ so definitely rock them!
Also, if you are applying ED, try to demonstrate as much interest to Wellesley as possible! Get in touch with an admission counselor for your questions (I recommend Lauren Dennis, she’s amazing!), schedule for an interview (which you should do now because they close the interview application fairly soon [Wellesley College - Admission & Financial Aid - Schedule an Interview](http://web.wellesley.edu/web/Admission/visit/scheduleinterview.psml) ), and really sit down to think about what is it that you love about Swells, because that’ll help you a lot in your “Why Wellesley” essay.

Good luck!! The application process is a nerve-racking yet very exciting experience! If you’re an adrenaline junkie like me, you’ll love it too! haha

Thanks so much! That was very informative and extremely helpful (especially regarding the interviews and admission counselors, I’ll make sure to keep that in mind). And I was considering submitting an art supplement so that’s also helpful. Although, if the people reviewing my application don’t think my art is really strong enough, could that possibly hurt my application?

I don’t think you have to worry about it hurting your application because 1. you sent it as a “supplement” 2. the admission counselors are not THAT cruel hahaha 3. Plus from what you’ve mentioned in your stats, I’m sure your art is great!

Strut your talents and achievements anyway you can! Wellesley loves well-rounded and multi-talented ladies!

Okay, well then that makes me feel a bit better! I’ll start collecting some of my decent drawings into a portfolio then!
Thanks so much for your help!
