<p>Hi, i'm an incoming junior and I just wanted to know if I'm on the right track. I know this is early, but i'm feeling really doubtful about applying to some top colleges.</p>

<p>Rank: 4/1000 (Top 1% for a big school T_T)
GPA: 3.98 uw / 4.5ish weighted
White Female, Public High School
Loc: North Texas</p>

<p>-ACT: N/A
-SAT: 2260 (800 M/710 R/750 W)
-SATII: Math II 790, W Hist 770, will take Chinese, Physics, and probably USH this year</p>

<p>Courseload:
-Freshman: AP Human (score 5), Varsity Tennis, 5 PreAPs
-Sophomore: AP Euro, AP WH (score 5,5), Varsity Tennis, 4 PreAPs (French, Chem, English, PreCalc)
-Junior: AP CompSci, AP USH, AP Calc BC, AP French, AP Physics C, AP Eng Lang, Varsity Tennis
-Senior: idk yet, probably AP Stats, AP Environ, AP Gov, AP Micro Econ, Vars Tennis, and some others</p>

<p>--So far, all 93+</p>

<p>Extra Stuff:
-Varsity Tennis 4 years
-Texas Governor's School (summer school)
-Teacher Assistant at Hua Yi Education (100+ hours)
-4 years French club
-4 years Mu Alpha Theta club (social activity officer for 1 year)
-4 years LASER club (science fair)
-AIME qualifier 4 years
-4th place and 7th place nationally Grand Concours (French competition)
-Liberty Recreation Center - camp and activities for deaf and disabled people (50+ hours)
-Science Fair: 1st in school (2 yrs), HM in regional (2 yrs), Special Award for American Safety Engineers (soph year), hopefully I can make state this year ;__;
-1st place Mockingbird Poetry Contest (2 years in a row so far)</p>

<p>Are there some colleges on my list that are just plain unrealistic? And based on this list are there any other colleges you guys think I might like?
Suggestions? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! </p>

<p>You seem like you are on the right track! I’m sure you’ll be just fine at most of these schools, but HYPSM are always difficult to predict! Good luck!! :)</p>

<p>Your stats seem pretty much on par for those schools, but the problem is you never really know what the ivies are looking for…I think the best thing to do is make sure that you involve yourself in things that will differentiate you from the other applicants with similar stats.</p>

<p>and I know colleges are looking for something that differentiates you besides your essay, but the hard part is actually getting something that does since nowadays EVERYONE is looking for something unique. </p>

<p>does anyone know anything us “common apps” could do during the summer or the school year that could “differentiate” us from others and help us stand out?</p>
