<p>Hi i am an international student from India.
I have these following things:-</p>

<p>i am an 11th grade student in an cbse school which is the second best in our town.</p>

<p>Previously i attended a icse school which was the best Jesuit school in our city.</p>

<p>I have secured 66% marks in 9th grade
63% marks in 10th grade
82% marks in I.C.S.E board exam
61% in 11th grade
My percentage will be around 65-70% in 12th
and I hope to get 85% and above in C.B.S.E board exams.</p>

<p>I really cant do anything about my school percentages as my schools are real tough and competitive.
currently I am 14th in my class of 44.</p>

<p>I will give sat in December. I get around 1750-1850 in Barrons model tests and i am confident i will get 2000+ in my sat.</p>

<p>i also will give st test subjects in may and hope to get good on them.</p>

<p>My essays also good and my recommendation letters would be great.</p>

<p>My Extracurriculars are </p>

<p>3 years in drawing with distinction in each year.
I really like music and have many times performed in cultural and school functions and i also compose my own songs.
I play soccer and badminton and was a team member in my inter school soccer team.
I have done many fundraising stuff and like Helpage India and other things.
i also compose my own songs.
I also have given many science national tests and have scored ranks of around 3000 in all of India.</p>

Arizona State University
Texas A&M University</p>

<p>I know my school results are a little low i want to a major in Aerospace Engineering
so any other good colleges recommendation in which i have good chance can be mentioned</p>

<p>Also an important thing i have a not so good economic background so i will apply for financial aid and scholarships if i get any.</p>

<p>Since you’re looking for fin.aid, you can forget most public schools (as they do not give aid/scholarships to internationals)… I can see 3 out of your list are public.</p>

<p>As to your chances, I don’t think anyone can reasonably chance you without actual test scores etc. All they see is low marks percentages and rank 14 out of 44 isn’t much impressive either.</p>

<p>well i want to get my chances approx i would like to hear if my school marks are good enough and how much does my form stand out. i mean the marks i have got is not so esay to get as highest only gets around 70ties and in the board i have done quite well i just want to know if my scores make up to 3.0 to 3.5 on American gpa?? And for fin aid part 50 % of the costs in public colleges if given to me as aid loans etc is sufficient rest i can hope to manage!!! And please chance for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.</p>

<p>TAMU, ASU, BU and IIT are matches. I do not know Drury. The others are reaches, in my opinion.</p>

<p>as an international student, I would not expect any aid from these schools. Finally, take the SAT and then talk.</p>

<p>thanks everybody after sat i will ask again and a hearty thanks to everyone also if more people want to say anything they can comment!! is my school marks close enough to 3 to 3.5 in American gpa that is the last thing i want to know!</p>
