Please chance me

Hey guys, I was just wondering if CC could chance me. I'm not looking for like exact numbers and whatnot, just a comment along the lines of "your credentials are weak," "you're fine," or "I think you have a good shot." I'm stressing a bit since decisions are just around the corner and I haven't started ANY other applications.

School-wise: We usually only send 1 kid to Columbia each year. We had applicants this year, and they all seem to be better than me. =P

Applied to: Columbia SEAS Fu Foundation Early Decision
Applied under the majors of: Chem Eng, Electrical Eng, Financial Eng.
Gender: Male
Ethnicity: Asian- Indian

Academics:
GPA: 4.0 unweighted. I've gotten all As.
Weighted average: 101.3
Class Rank: 2- Salutatorian

My guidance counselor said I have the highest average in my school for the NYS Regents tests.

SAT 1: 710 CR/ 800 M/ 600 W -> 2110; 1510 subscore
ACT: 36 M/ 36 S/ 32 R/ 35 W -> 35 Composite Score
SAT II Math II: 800
SAT II Chem: 800

APs: World (5), USH (4), Chem (5), Lang/Comp (5).

Courseload this year is AP Physics, AP Gov, AP Calc, AP Lit, AP Italian, and Orchestra.

Extracurriculars and Awards:
-I've been going to the Columbia Science Honors Program for this year only. I wish I applied earlier. ]= Had to take a test to get in, if you don't know what the program is, though I'm sure most CCers are familiar because of the stickied thread.
-Intern at a dental office; about 6 hours a week, been going for around 2.5 months
-Mathletes, grades 9-12, second highest scorer last year.
-Quiz Bowl Team Captain (The Long Island Challenge on MSG Varsity/ News 12- We advanced to the second round :D)
-Science Bowl team
-Participated in Nassau Math Tourney on behalf of my school.
-Service League, one of the few co-founders, service bases club, grades 9-12
-National Honor Society President
-Talented and Gifted Program since 10th grade
-School newspaper writer since 10th grade
-Playing the viola since the 7th grade
-Italian Club since 9-12
-Foreign Language Honor Society 9-12
-National Junior Honor Society 9-11
-Red Cross Club 11-12
-National Merit Commended (203 =/)

Essay: My English teacher definitely has confidence in it. It's written from the heart, unique, and 'pun'ny.

Short Answers: I thought I did fine. Maybe above average, but nothing "crazy-definite-shoe in" status

Recommendations: I'm 100% sure these will be amazing.

Interview: I feel like I did really well in the interview.

To my understanding, my ECs are a bit generic, other than SHP. Also, my SAT score is pretty low, especially the writing section. I have a solid ACT score, but isn't that usually looked down upon? =[

Thanks for the input, fellow CC-ers. =]

yay first post

I think that even with a (relatively) low SAT score, you’re going to mostly be judged on how well you conveyed your interest and “togetherness” of your interests. After all, everyone has plenty of ECs and high grades for the most part, they wanna see what you as a person like. SHP definitely helps, I’d say you have a pretty good shot. Good luck! :)

Grades, ACTs, and SAT IIs are extremely strong. SAT Is are relatively weak compared to the Columbia pool, but your ECs seem strong. I can’t pinpoint where your all of your leadership roles are, but it looks like you have initiative in the sciences. You have a pretty good chance, considering you attended a Columbia related program that is along the lines of what you want to do. Best of luck!

I applied ED to SEAS too, chance me back please!
