I don’t know a lot about admissions at the ivies, but your resume is really impressive! I’d say you’re definitely in to UNC Chapel Hill though. I think as long as you can get your ACT a little higher, you’ll have a good shot at the rest of the schools. Good luck!

Thanks!!!

Brown, Yale, Harvard, Dartmouth: reach
Tufts, Georgetown, Northwestern, Amherst: low reach
Middlebury, UNC @ Chapel Hill, UVA, likly (>50% chance)
Kenyon : don’t know

thanks!!!

You just need to improve you ACT scores a bit. Any particular reason you’re taking the ACT over the SAT?

I took the SAT once around a year ago and I got a bad score. I can’t recall the exact number but it was in the 1800s so I decided to just stick with the ACT… I guess in hindsight I should have just studied and attempted to get a higher SAT on my second try but too late.

bump…anyone??

I don’t know about OOS, because I’m from here, but I’m pretty sure you’re in at UVa. I’mm not familiar with a ton of your other schools, but UC Chapel Hill is extremely competitive OOS (from what I’ve heard). Still, your class rank at such a competitive highschool will probably make you stand out.
I agree that the Ivies are a high reach for you because of your ACT; you have to keep in mind that there are ridiculous amount of peolpe with stellar GPA/ranks who apply to these schools, and they arent really matches for anyone. Play up international experience A LOT! Colleges are looking for students who fit a niche in the student body they’re building, so that can help you stand out. You definitely have as good a chance as anyone though!
Goodluck!

As for Chapel Hill, it’ll be harder to get in since you are out of state. They have a very low out-of-state percentage of students admitted. Yeah, but pull up your ACT and … good luck! ^^;
