<p>Your essays and activity list are not required unless you apply for higher level scholarships. You will be eligible for National Honors (about $4500/year) and maybe others depending on your specific circumstances. <p>As for Honors, they require ACT of 27 and GPA of 3.8.</p>

<p>Use the RAI score formula provided on the university’s website, 245 for IS, 255 for OOS. RAI scores over 290 receive some form of merit aid.

<p>Admission chance: Pretty much 100%…unless your class rank and/or number of core classes are extremely low, but I’m sure that doesn’t apply to you.
All they need is ACT score, GPA, class rank, number of core classes taken. They combine that into a number called an RAI index and if its above a 245 (in-state) or 255 (out of state), then you’re automatically in. You don’t need to pad your application with activities and they don’t even require you to write an essay. Here’s the link to the RAI calculator. Also, here is a link to a list of scholarships that the U of I offers. You’ll be eligible for most of them.
