You’re right in that your numbers aren’t all that great, though I’m not familiar with the Indian grading system so I’m not considering your grades. Given that you’re an international though, they may have some leniency with the English portions of the SAT. Your extracurriculars, however, seem impressive and involved. Penn emphasizes the importance of intangibles like these so don’t give up just yet.

As an international applicant you already have a slightly lower rate of acceptance but don’t let that discourage you. Like snappy said before me, I’m not familiar with the Indian grading system so I will just assume that your grades are good. While your SAT score is not amazing it is still within the range for Penn though on the lower half. This isn’t a huge deal though as your SAT score is only part of your whole application. Your EC’s look phenomenal and make someone like me, who comes from a very small town with little opportunities, quite jealous. With some solid recommendations and essays I would say you have a fair shot. Nowhere near guaranteed, but no one is really a shoo in for admission. I wish you the best of luck, and hopefully this time next year we will both be Penn Quakers!!

Thanks a ton.

no problem. mind reading over my chance thread and giving me a chance? be brutally honest. haha

I am really sorry but I am international student not at all aware of the American education system so I am in no position to chance you. :-(

I hope you understand.

thats ok I understand. thanks anyway .

“As an international applicant you already have a slightly lower rate of acceptance but don’t let that discourage you”

That depends. If you’re asking for Financial Aid, yes, you’re chances will be significantly diminished. However, if you’re not asking for financial aid, being an international student will unlikely lower your chances, as said in this article: [What Wharton Wants](<a href=“Bloomberg - Are you a robot?”>Bloomberg - Are you a robot?)

@deathblade127, thats true. I tend to assume that most international applicants will apply for aid. But you are correct, if OP does not apply for financial aid they probably wont have any change in chances for admission.
