I’m just really worried because my math scores are lower than where I wanted them and I just got waitlisted from Villanova. Please let me know  Thanks guys.

You’re amazing! You’ll get in just fine. Don’t worry.

Thanks, I’m just really worried now since Villanova waitlisted me and I’ve been banking on going to BU for months now :/

Me too. BU is my top choice but my stats are nothing compared to yours. I hope we both get in. Good luck. :)

This really blows my mind… I also went engineering and got wait-listed at Villanova. I’m not giving up hope it was my No.1. Like you I have some other reall great choices; however, it is what it is. That being said a friend of mine applied to Villanova like me in the EA pool. He was picked up in EA. I can tell you I know for a fact that for the small amount of data that you post is far above his.

I also applied to Northeastern and got denied… You’re in there you should be pumped, they had 44k applications and only took 2.8k. Your in the 6% range to the good, that should make you feel good.

My SAT, GPA, and class standing is also below your posting. I keep digging into the how’s and why’s of the way colleges do things. I have BU on my list of hopes like you but there is no telling how this all goes down. I even applied to Yale knowing full well that when I did apply I had only a 2% chance of getting in. I found out this past week from somebody who went to school there that Yale is very fair with all applications. If they like what they see in a app. your going to be in the mix, it’s not all about the SAT. I’m still in the mix!! Would I take it if offered? You bet I will.

You took both the SAT and ACT and did quite well, I’m surprised they wait-listed you at Villanova. I’m sure you essay was quite nice. I don’t know much about UPitt other than it being another good school and not easy to get into.

I can’t see BU kicking you to the curb. I visited twice, once for the normal visit the other was to see the engineering dept. If you don’t get in it would be crazy.

Good luck, see you in the engineering world and maybe in a BU class or two.

Thanks for the nice comment  I ended up getting accepted into BU College of Engineering and I got into the Honors College also. I wasn’t granted any money, but I knew that I was getting nothing from financial aid.

Now I’m just really surprised with Villanova, since if I got into the Honors College here I’m shocked I didn’t even get into Villanova at all. It might be because I never showed any interest in Villanova like visiting, and sent my application the day before the due date, it was a last minute apply.

But, I could care less at this point, BU was my first choice and it’s just so relieving!
