My SAT Reasoning Test broken down because Lehigh looks only for Math and Verbal scores:
Math - 750
Verbal - 650

jigarpatel1995 -

Your SAT scores are at about the 75% percentile, so only 25% of accepted students would have a higher SAT composite. Also, your SAT IIs are decent and its good to show that beyond your higher math score is a good history score, too!

Your 3.5 GPA is right at the average for Lehigh students, but your weighted is above average. Lehigh does take into account the weighted average, so you will definitely see a boost from that! Also, being in the top 8% is awesome, it will definitely help you!

Your academic rigor is top notch; it seems as if you did take every advanced class you could have, so kudos to you! Equally as important as the GPA is the rigor of your classes, and you clearly showed that you push yourself and take advantage of opportunities.

Also, your extracurriculars are fantastic. It is great to have a “theme” and yours is clearly in politics. I would HIGHLY recommend you talk about your dedication to politics in your EC essay or in the personal statement. All in all, the activities that you do outside of the curriculum are well above average.

So, I think you have a great chance of acceptance at Lehigh! I would say it is a match, for sure. Remember to show interest, though. You can do this by visiting the campus, emailing your admissions officer (you can find him or her here: [Lehigh University: Undergraduate Admissions: Contact Admissions](Contact Us & Find Your Admissions Counselor | Lehigh University)) and also by doing an interview if you feel so inclined. However, the interview is HIGHLY optional as it is more of an informational session rather than an evaluative one.

If you were to apply ED, you would have a fantastic chance of acceptance (quite possibly a low-match - I hate saying anything is a safety…).

So best of luck to you and hopefully we will be the class of 2017!

 • Mike

very good chance :)

Thanks Lehigh2017! You really, really researched Lehigh like I did. I guess I kind of wanted the assurance that I would be an ideal candidate for Lehigh. I’m guessing you’re first and top choice is going to be Lehigh also?

Yes sir, Lehigh is my #1 choice! It’s also my number #2 and #3 haha  I have research so much it’s crazy! What do you plan on majoring in?

Same here! And double major in Economics and Political Science.

Oh great choice! If you want, I can edit your Lehigh supplement essays when you write them (mine are already done, so I won’t steal your ideas!! Well they are done assuming they stay the same as last year… if not, I will be mad!). And by the way, you have VERY similar stats to mine. (I have a 2140, and a 3.7 uw, 4.25 w GPA).

I still need to start my essays, a true scholar waits till the end. I’ll be starting them soon enough. A lot of applicants have similar stats which makes me nervous and ask myself “how do I stand out among these people?”

I worry the same thing. I feel, although I am told I will be accepted by everyone I ask, that there will be something that holds me back. I wish I had something outrageous to help me, but alas I do not think I do.

And yes, a true scholar indeed! Personally, I couldn’t wait, so I wrote them in June! Now I am just sitting here… waiting, NOT patiently, for the supplement to be released. If anyone else is reading this, when should the supplement be released?’
