Thanks so much for reading all of that, please let me know how I would do applying to:

Harvard- Early Decision (I know this is a massive stretch)
Virginia- I live in Florida so I think it's harder to get in
Florida- live in Florida, think that makes it easier to get in?
Michigan
Babson
UPenn
Cornell
USC
UCB
Chicago

I know my standardized test scores are low, but it's because I'm really young for a senior (just turned 16) and I took all of my English classes virtually- I had to graduate a year early due to personal situations. Does that help my chances at all?

My class rank is also pretty high- the exact number hasn’t been found out yet but my counselor told me that I’m for sure in the top 20 out of 400 kids (5%), possibly 15 or even 10

Also took the subject tests, did meh on them: Math 1 680 Math 2 620

shameless self-bump

bump bump bump

come on guys please help me out :)

please help me out guys!!!

not going to stop bumping until I get an answer

I’m not really in the best position to chance you and any opinions I may have will probably be inaccurate since I’m an international student. But I just saw your screen name and I HAD to ask, are you an Arsenal fan? :D

I don’t think the online thing will hurt you at all, but I don’t know. If you can get your SAT to 2000+ when you retake it, here are my thoughts

Harvard- Honestly, this probably won’t happen. This school is super hard to get into (as you know.) It is possible though
Virginia- Probably
Florida- Yes
Michigan - Possibly
UPenn - a bit of a reach, but you are a competitive candidate
Cornell - possibly
USC - probably
UCB - it’s hard to come from out of state to this school… I’d say possibly
Chicago - probably

thanks- I know this sounds dumb but I’ve been getting LOADS of mail from colleges because I think I’m on the national college match list from when I took the ACT. I’ve been getting mail and emails from a bunch of universities- Miami, Chicago, Virginia, Harvard, Cornell, Babson, Vanderbilt, Penn, and a bunch of others. does this help my chances to any schools AT ALL? and a few schools like Tulane and Babson sent me emails linking me to applications where I can apply to the schools for free.

Actually a lot of students receive tons of mail from colleges so I wouldn’t say that’s a great advantage. I’m not familiar with Babson, Florida, Michigan, and Virginia. However, if those aren’t safety schools, I suggest you add some to your list. Harvard is a high reach for you at the moment. UPenn, Chicago, Cal, and USC are very selective as well. I would say they’re all reaches unless you can boost your test scores to 2100+ or 32+.

UF and FSU are my safeties, if I get accepted to any of the others I would be ecstatic. Do you have any tips on how to boost my scores higher?

Based off your test scores, I would say focus on the ACT and buy the The Official ACT practice book (the red one). There are also plenty of tips on CC you could practice.

ok thanks- I bought the ACT prep book, but I also got Barron’s and I seem to prefer barron’s better. do you think I should just review from both?

do you have any tips on the SAT too, because that test is really my weaker one :P

@cuppycake yes I am :D
