So please please let me know because i'm freaking out because of my SAT. It's already too late to take it again but even if i did i don't think it would improve that much. I just want to know what would make me still have a chance of getting into my top ones- UVa, UNC, W&M- even with that low score. Thank you!

How are you not sure if your parents went to college? And I’d say all things considered you’re in VT and VCU. UVa and W&M are more of a reach, but if you apply EA to UVa and/or ED to W&M you should get in to at least one. I live in Va, too, and there was a girl that got in to W&M last year ED with a 1760 SAT score. My school is also a “feeder” school for W&M and UVa, though. UNC is really hard to get into out of state so that’s probably the highest reach school you mentioned. Only one out of 5 applicants from my school got accepted there last year, but she turned it down for UVa.

UNC: Reach
UVA: High match
W&M: Reach
VT: Safety
VCU: Safety

Alright thank you mmaatt, that makes me feel a little better. And i was just saying i wasn’t sure because my dad never got a full 4-year degree and my mom never finished college, so i don’t know if it counts since they both have at least enrolled into college.
