<p>1) NYU Stern (EDII) - I couldn't make the EDI in time because I am taking SAT2s in November and the test has been postponed due to Hurricane Sandy
2) Macaulay Honors Baruch

4) Stevens Institute of Technology

Location: NYC
Race: Asian
Gender: male
First Generation College Student
Pursuing a business major (either finance or information systems not so sure yet)</p>

<p>GPA: 95
APs taken: AP US History (my school is highly competitive for AP classes so wasn't offered much)
APs this year: AP Literature, AB Calculus, AP Macroeconomics, AP Psych, AP Stats
College Courses: I took 5 additional college courses outside of APs from local colleges and got all As and Bs.
Class Rank: my school doesn't rank
School Rank: 13th in the nation</p>

<p>SAT: March CR: 570 Math: 780 Writing: 580 = 1930
Oct CR: 630 Math: 740 Writing: 550 = 1920
I am horrible at finding grammatical errors/editing :(
Superscore: 1990</p>

<p>SAT IIs:
640 Math II
640 US History
Math I and World will be taken in 2 weeks
^As you can see I'm not good at SATIIs, bad at fast-paced tests</p>

<p>Important Awards/ECs/Volunteer:
Member of National Honors Society (11-12)
Boy's Fencing Team (10-12) (our school ranks top 3 in NYC Fencing)
Member of Student Organization (10-12)
Member of Key Club (10-12)
Learned Piano for 7 years (stopped around freshmen year though to focus on school work)
Volunteered in the summer at local zoo for 100+ hours
Volunteered in my school for 100+ hours
Volunteered as a tutor during the school year at public library
Teacher Assistant for Guidance Counselor</p>

<p>Miscellaneous stuff:
Fluent in English and Chinese
Studied Russian for 3 years
Teacher Recs: 8/10 - both teachers I've had for 3 terms
Counselor Recs: 8/10 - counselor doesn't like me too much cuz I ask too many questions lol
Essays: 8/10 - not spectacular but they are well edited and thought out</p>

<p>Weaknesses: low SAT and SAT2 scores, Asian, generic ECs </p>

<p>Right now my top two choices are NYU Stern (ED2) and Macaulay Honors Baruch. Thanks for chancing me!</p>

<p>I think you’ll get into Lehigh. Cornell is a reach. I wouldn’t count on getting into there.</p>

<p>You’re pretty much admitted to all of the rest, except for maybe NYU Stern. But even then, I see you getting into NYU. Good luck.</p>

@KBronx: really? I actually don’t care too much if I get into Cornell or not so this gives me a lot of hope. And yes, I think NYU Stern is 50/50 for me since my SAT is low and I don’t have any business related Ecs which is why I’m applying EDII to get a better shot at it. Thank you!</p>

<p>question: can anyone tell me if any of the 10 schools listed above require or highly recommend SATIIs? I’m thinking about not sending them in if its not required because or highly recommended because they are pretty low (especially the math which I got 780 on SAT but a mere 640 on SAT2).</p>

<p>As you stated on my thread, I am not totally familiar with all of your schools.
Although, I would say that you have a very decent chance at NYU (Stern/Poly, although Stern may be a little more difficult), BU, Northeastern, Stevens, Lehigh, and Binghamton. As stated previously, Cornell is a reach, but is for everybody!</p>
