I think you have a good shot to Cornell ED and JHS and Vandy but te others are def reaches as with anyone else. If you applied JHS ED the chances double where 24% turns to 44% acceptance rate. But overall you should be feeling good about your chances. Your SAT and GPA are great and so are your ECs and community services. Can’t say anything negative other than the fact that you don’t have a hook as you are white. But please chance me back at marshmelloww “Please Chance me at Rice ED 2017!!” Thank ya!!!

I think you have a very good shot at Cornell ED, High match-low reach, so I don’t think the others really matter. But besides Dartmouth all the colleges on your list are equal too or less then Cornell, so I think you have a great shot at all of them. Low reach is the most I’d say, and I think you are almost without a doubt in at Case and Rochester.
Good luck!

Chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1418125-chance-me-duke-other-top-schools.html

Thanks for the replies! I’d chance back but I just joined and really wouldn’t consider my advice of any use, haha.

(bump, bump)

I hate being one of those people who bumps too much, but… bump.

overall strong. Cornell you’re in, Dartmouth you have somewhat of a chance, and same for Caltech. Everywhere else you’re in.

Statistically, you appear to be a match or better at all of the schools you’ve applied to. The only real problem is that several of them have acceptance rates that are so low (i.e., <20%) that no one is a sure thing.

This would apply to Cornell, Dartmouth, Vanderbilt, Northwestern and Cal Tech.

Rochester and Case are somewhat more predictable, and you are a solid match for those. However, none of these is really a total lock for anyone.

Though I think you will most likely get into one or more schools on your list – there is really no true safety school in this list. Should Cornell-ED not come through for you, you should look for one. There are many ways to find one – I might recommend looking at the schools that have sent you mail, and that offer nice merit scholarships – also, talk to your GC. Good luck.

Very competitive schools, but you definitely have a shot. Good luck.

Bump bump bump. Also, if you’re reading this and haven’t seen my other post (in the Cornell forum), I mostly care about Cornell ED, so any input on that would be greatly appreciated!

zephyr is right, you need a safety.

Look, your objective stats are great, you’re obviously a qualified applicant.

Yet qualified applicants don’t always get in. It’s very possible you could be rejected to all of your schools/accepted into all of them. The schools you’re applying to appear to be random in their selection of a freshman class. Don’t count on being in.

Good luck.

Ok, I’ve taken some comments into consideration and have added these two SUNYs: Geneseo and Bing.

I’ve also added U Chicago because after some research, I’ve realized that I could see myself there. Please consider U of C when chancing! :)
