Please Chance me

OK, guys, I don't know the exact reason why no one replied last time when I posted the "please chance me" thread. So I am here to post it again. This means a lot to me so I am really thankful to anyone who can help me.
I am a Chinese high school student who is now applying to Michigan, Ann arbor's engineering undergraduate program. I am not very sure about my chances. Here are my scores and some of my extracurricular activities.
SAT : Reading 670, Maths 760, Writing 650.
SAT subject tests: Maths level 2 800, Physics, 800, Chemistry 800.
AP Physics B 5, Chemistry 4.
I am vibrant and active in extracurricular activities. I am the founder and leader of the history academic group in my high school. I am also the registered volunteer in our city's metro system for more than one year. I have interned this summer in SLAC, a leading ring-pull manufacturer in China. If more information is needed for the speculation of my chances. Please let me know in your reply.
Thanks.

Those are some impressive stats! However, do you have anything in terms of a GPA you can show us? O.o

Michigan REALLY cares about GPA and rigor of curriculum. I don’t think they really care much about subject test scores. Are you in state or OOS? The OOS acceptance rate is about 20%. There were a lot of students this year who applied EA and were deferred despite some stellar credentials.

Thanks for the answers, guys. My GPA is 88.01 out of 100 scales. And our school’s A standard is from 85 to 100. I don’t think this GPA is very high. I am OOS and I know this year’s pool is very competitive. But I really love Ann Arbor. Wish I could be admitted.

While your test scores are certainly competitive, your GPA only equates to a 3.4, which is significantly below average. You mentioned that your school has a slightly different scale, so your equivalent GPA might be considered as high 3.6, but even then, that is still pretty low. The fact that you’re international doesn’t help as Michigan strongly prefers US citizens over international for its undergraduate student body. Unfortunately, I believe your chance of admittance to be very low.

Ehhh, he DOES have strong credentials. Being an International student is difficult in terms of admissions, but I wouldn’t say he has NO chance. It’ll be a reach, though, KronOmega’s right.

I think you’ll be IN. Because GPA outside US is calculated differently!,Trust me, I’ve experienced this>

I think you have a decent shot! Good luck with the application!
