<p>Please chance me for CMU, UC Berkeley, UCLA, Boston College, Georgetown, Northwestern, Pittsburgh, U of Michigan, WashU and Duke (Don’t worry about safeties, I figured I didn’t need to waste your guy’s time so I didn’t put them on here)</p>

<p>Indian Male. Rising Senior. Competitive Public School. </p>

<p>Academics:
UW GPA: 3.86
W GPA: 4.28
Class rank: 5% of 700</p>

<p>Pretty difficult course load overall. </p>

<p>9th grade –Algebra 2 honors, Bio 1, Chem 1, German, Gym (1/2 sem), Health (1/2 sem), World Concepts (1/2 Sem), Global Themes (1/2 Sem), Enriched English 9
10th grade – Honors Pre Calc, AP Chem, AP US history, Honors English 10, Physics 1, German
11th grade – AP Calculus, AP Physics, AP Micro (1/2), AP Macro (1/2), AP Euro, AP German, AP English Lit.
12th Grade (Prospective) – AP Biology, Honors Organic Chem (Dual Enrollment), AP English Lang, AP Statistics, AP Psych (1/2), Honors Philosophy (1/2), Teacher Aide</p>

<p>If you didn’t want to read above, 13 AP’s and 5 honors courses.</p>

<p>Test Scores:
AP’s (so far): Chem 5, US history 4
SAT: Haven’t taken it, but on multiple practice tests I’ve been scoring from 2260 to 2370.
PSAT (Perhaps this will help for gauging for the SAT): 228 (M:80, W:75, CR:73) Qualifies for National Merit.
ACT: 32 (I took this at the beginning of sophomore year, and I expect a 34+ next time around)
SAT II: Chem 800, US History 720</p>

<p>Extra Curriculars (All of these are so far):
Debate team: 3 years, 1 JV, 2 Varsity. Won a couple tournaments.
Swim Team: 2 years, 2 JV. 6+ years club swimming.
Indian youth representative (We set up cultural events unrelated to school and throw charities and fundraisers)
Started a charity that raised 5K for children in india
Volunteered at nearby hospital for 50 hours (expecting 80 by end of junior year)
Volunteered at political office for 15 hours
German Honors Society
German Club: 3 years
Academic Team: 1 year
HOSA: 2 years
Placed at math competition 2 years in a row </p>

<p>I’m planning on doing a paid internship doing medical research at a nearby hospital over summer. That will be around 80 hours

<p>You have a good chance at all of the schools you listed. If I were you I would also consider applying to an ivy leaugue school.</p>

<p>I think you have an excellent shot at all schools, with a slight reach at Berkeley and a little more of a reach at GTown, NW, and Duke (Only because those 3 are amazing schools and it is difficult to get in regardless of your app). I think your main issue is not having enough uniqueness, but I think landing that internship would be looked very highly upon, especially if you communicate that you plan on majoring in science.</p>

<p>I do plan on majoring in some kind of science, but that could very easily change…</p>

<p>I forgot to say that I was in Harvard Debate Council. Hopefully that makes some kind of difference for admissions.</p>
