PSU: Safety (I forgot PSU)

Wow! Terrific. You are not a reach anywhere. Anyone who says different I’d like to know why. Your diverse EC’s of drama and sports will put you on the top of the pile -Even at Yale.

Also to all you knuckleheads who believe Hispanics can’t get in on Merit. Check out his credentials.

Andale pues-GL

bumppppppp

Never! You’ll be going to Community Colleges!
Not really  You’ve done a great job of working hard and keeping above the pack. You’re in anywhere I’d say so good luck.

I would say youre in at most, if not all of the schools you listed. Congrats!!!

Brown - low reach / high match
Yale (Legacy) - reach / low reach
Penn State - safety
Duke (Legacy) - high match
UC Berkeley - match
UCLA - low match
UC San Diego - safety
USC - match
Emory - match
Northwestern - high match
Tufts - probably will reject u coz u r overqualified
Wesleyan - high match / match
Carnegie Mellon - high match / match
Purdue - safety
ur stats are really good. best of luck! :)

It’s not like the schools I put in as being reaches were unrealistic either…

Cakley,

You seem quite qualified for all of these schools. My best friend received a 2230 on the SAT, had fewer ECs than you have, has the same ethnicity, had fewer APs, and a lower rank; he got into Harvard. There is no formula for admissions success, especially as there is a large amount of luck involved. With all that said, I’ll give you what I think for each:

Brown - You got a shot.
Yale - You got a shot.
Penn State - Safety
Duke - You got a shot.
UC Berkeley - - You got a pretty good shot.
UCLA - You got a pretty good shot.
UC San Diego - You got a pretty good shot.
USC - You got a pretty good shot.
Emory - You got a shot. (no idea, but I think if you got a shot with Yale, you do with anyone)
Northwestern - You got a pretty good shot.
Tufts - You got a pretty good shot.
Wesleyan - You got a pretty good shot.
Carnegie Mellon - You got a pretty good shot.
Purdue - Safety

Stats are good but ECs are a bit spread out. You’ll be able to make t to a few of those at least, even though Yale and Brown are a reach for everybody. Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?p=15268935</a></p>

obviously there is no predicting ivy admissions because every applicant will have stellar statistics, it just comes down to the little things. you have outstanding stats and with those stats alone, you have a solid chance at each ivy, and a great chance at every other school. but, you also have the hook of being a minority which gives you quite a leg up on the competition. while the ivy’s are essentially a crap shoot, i would bet on you getting in to all the other schools.

It seems that you have a pretty good shot at all of the schools, even without the “minority card” XD. You’ve already applied, right? Not sure what advice I can give then . . . but your Extracurriculars look good and with your academic record, I don’t think you’ll have any problems.

So . . . can you chance me?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1452919-sigh-yet-another-chance-me-thread-xd.html</a></p>

Definitely have a shot in all of them! Real impressive. :)
