<p>Do you really think your common app essay is “incredible”? A lot of counselors and teachers hand out huge praise.</p>
<p>The only intuition you should trust is your own, understand writing and rhetoric on a level on which you can analyze and dissect writing like Heart of Darkness and then you will have the writing ability.
Then just make sure you have something to say, something not generic or clich</p>
