Here’s the thing. First no one really knows what any ones chances really are. However I think your SAT seems a little low considering your GPA and how many AP/IB courses you have taken. So I’m wondering what have your scores been on the AP/IB tests?

Look at this link.
[GT Catalog : Undergraduate Student Menu](http://www.catalog.gatech.edu/students/ugrad/index.php)

If you have tested high enough to get credit on the AP/IB course you have already taken and you sent in those scores. I think your chances go up. However if you didn’t score high enough in most of them then I’m not sure.

You won’t get in if you lie about your leadership roles.

Did you create an account just to say that? lol

Also, what makes you think they are lies (just curious)?

I know who he is.

I wouldn’t recommend lying but I have to wonder if they even check the leadership roles…

do u guys think I have any chance for regular? I’m from TX and actually attend a really competitive school. think it is ranked number one now.

GPA: 4.26
ACT ENG: 29 – cuz I am Asian…
ACT ENG/WRI: 29 – got a 10 on essay, but GA Tech doesn’t seem to consider that…
ACT MATH: 34
SAT Chem: 760
SAT M2: 800
Big Accomplishments: I got 120 on AMC 12, 4 on AIME. Intel finalist (got second place in my category), Siemens regional finalist, went upto state level championships in 2 sports.

Yes I think you have a chance.

I think you are being sarcastic here lol; everyone has a chance. Let me rephrase my question: Do you think I have a good chance to get in?

@agg get on this site Saturday afternoon. That is when EA decisions come out and people will be posting their stats. That should give you an idea.

Stilltay is right. There is no way to know what’s going to happen this year with the common app. However I wasn’t being sarcastic. I do think you have a decent chance.

Oddly enough there was a thread on here last year about someone lying about his leadership and someone informing the schools - I have recently learned that was a true story about a student at my S’s school and rumor has it all college admission offers were pulled except UGA’s. If they find out it could hurt you but first and foremost it’s completely unethical and just stupid.

this info is just sugarcoated and not the same stuff i put on my common app. Also, my counselor wrote my leadership stuff so they have the ability to check with clubs/organizations to make sure I wasnt lying.

I recently applied for RD and I am just wondering why my entering status is “International Freshmen” when I am actually not. Anyone have/had the same problem?
