School doesn’t have class rank.
Thank you!
Do you know what major you want to apply for? Your ACT is great, but I would consider addressing the declining trend in grades. When listing your EC’s, I would put your leadership positions first.
FWIW, you also are geographically advantaged as they look for geographic diversity, and there are not as many students that apply from TN as from other areas.
Be sure to apply by the priority deadline of Nov 1st for your best consideration. Best of luck.
@maryversity thank you for your response. Would it be better to apply in November (which would mean my last grades on my transcript would be my subpar junior year grades), or would it be better to apply later so that hopefully I would have an excellent 1st semester senior year set of grades for them to see?
Yes, you absolutely should apply by November 1. Not only will you have better consideration for admission, but it is the only way to be eligible (and therefore considered) for special programs (like scholars, honors, civics, etc) and potential merit awards.
To answer your question from earlier, I would like to major in CS or as a 2nd choice, Astronomy @maryversity
Just wondering if anyone could chance me!
Stats:
GPA: 3.8 UW 4.68 W Grades very steady and no C’s or lower over all four years. 80% A’s and 20% B’s in mostly honors courses each year.
Class Rank: Top 8-10%
ACT: 30 (Superscored)
AP’s: Took AP Human Geography in 9th Grade (3 on the exam). Also self-studied for AP Macroeconomics in 9th Grade (4 on the exam).
Honors:
State Academic Scholar
Honor Student at Graduation
EC’s:
1 Year of Debate Club in 9th Grade
No other EC’s, went to 4 high schools in 4 years so their wasn’t opportunity to gain leadership positions. Good news is I have lots of life experience to draw from in my essays.
Should be fine if you get that ACT to a 32 which is very doable @mdteen17
