Schools:

Target- UCSD, UCSB, UCD, UCI, UT Austin, Cal Poly SLO, U Minnesota Twin Cities, UWash
Safety- UCSC, SJSU, UIUC

All the UC’s and SLO are within Reach based on your profile. Best of luck and I am sure you will many options from which to choose in the Spring.

UIUC is not a safety and Texas is not a match since both are OOS for you.

UIUC is a match and UT – which is very difficult for OOS students because so many in-state students get in through their 7% rule – is probably a reach or a low reach for you, even with strong stats.

Other than that clarification, you should have multiple acceptances from which to choose. Make sure you fit at all of them (academically, environmentally, socially) and can afford them.

@Gumbymom do you mean that all the UCs and SLO are reach school or that they are in reach of me getting in? Also, thanks both of you for replying! @prezbucky thanks for the clarification!

All the UC’s are possible but consider UCB and UCLA as Reach schools due to their low acceptance rate and competitive admissions.
