I'm a junior from California, and I really like Whitman because I love liberal arts school and the fact it's on the west coast and seems to have a more laid back feel. Could you chance me really quickly?

Psychology at city college?
Thanks so much!

This is a fine profile for Whitman, I'd guess. They really do look at the whole student and for a fit with their community, more than specific numbers, I think. So demonstrating your interest and enthusiasm will make you a solid candidate. Good luck...

AGree with the above and there is a great environmental studies program. My guess is you will have no problem getting in.

I think you're in. Your test scores are in the butter zone, your GPA is strong, and you're challenging yourself. What are you thinking about studying at Whitman?

I'm really interested in studying English and I hear they have a really great program. Does anyone know if this is true?

Their rhetoric and film studies program is very well regarded. As for english, I don't know. My ignorance though, I couldn't tell you if any school had a good english dept.

Shoe in + scholarship money, I'd bet. If Whitman is your top choice, apply ED, and you'll be treated very nicely.

if you can, visit the school, show that you are really interested. you can be a great applicant and still not get in if you show no interest in the school. if you can't visit, go to an info session held in your community/school, college fair where whitman attends, call admissions office to send you stuff, etc etc.
