I think you have a good chance. Good luck!

Really? thank you!

Any thoughts on legacy? This girl from my school applied and she has like a 3.2, maybe 3.3 GPA. But she hasn't really taken any hard classes and her SATs were a 1780 and only does student council as a rep for 2 years. BUT her grandpa went there and he's superrich and gives a lot of money to HC. I go to a small public school in RI and 4 kids from my school applied.....any thoughts?

don't worry. i'd be pretty confident with your stats.

also, what year were you HOBY rep/ did you go to WLC? i'm a HOBY rep tooo!!!!

I went to HOBY at the end of my sophomore year, so summer 2006 and no, I didn't go to WLC, though I wanted to very much. Did you? I thought it was so cool to finally be around other similarly-motivated students when I come from such an apathetic high school. Apparently a lot of the schools needed essay competitions and such to select their participant because there were so many interested students. I was the only one in my school that wanted to go. Even my vice president (I'm class president) didn't want to. My guidance counselor just kinda came up to me and said "hey fill this out you're going." The discussions and speakers were really thought-provoking.
