My chances? Thanks I visited and LOVED the campus. I was born in Va and lived near W&M until I was 5. Top 3 school for me!

I can't provide insight on your specific situation. The OOS acceptance rate was 24% for the class starting fall 06 and 22% for 05. Since more women apply than men, I would estimate admit rate for OOS women is <20%.

I got in with a 1310 SAT score, but I am in-state. It seems like you are on the boarderline of getting in. If you don't mind me asking, what is your weighted GPA? Your chances are better if you have strong essays and teacher recs. But out of staters have tough competetion. Good Luck!

I don't have a weighted GPA. In my opinion (and my AP english teacher's) my essay was really good, but who doesn't think theirs are? My recs from teachers were pretty good but my counselor's was AMAZING

Fellow 1310 RD applicant, here! I think your other stuff is solid, it just depends on how they evaluate SAT scores. We're both a little low for their 25th/75th percentile so we'll see.

If this makes you feel better, a guy at my high school here in Oklahoma got in last year with a 1250/1850 SAT (and the idiot didn't even go!!) Another guy, who pulled off a 2050, got wait-listed.

SATs are definitely borderline, especially for an OOS female from New England. Top 10% rank and a seemingly strong lineup of extracurriculars work in your favor. I'd say about a 20-25% chance of acceptance, a 70-75% chance of a waitlist, and about a 5-10% chance of a rejection letter.
