I'm a Singaporean student who really wants to get an Cornellian education, but I did not do very well for most of my exams. My stats are as listed below:

A-level Score: Maths - A, Physics - C, Economics - C, General Paper(English) - C5, Project Work - Band 2, Chinese at O-level - A2

My JC exam results are normally Cs, with an occasional B or D.

But I think I'm at least top 15% of the class.

My SAT 1 score is 2050, 710 for critical reading, 790 for maths, 550 for writing. And I'll be retaking in November to push up my CR and writing.

I'm taking my SAT in Oct and I think I can get 800 for math 2, 800 for physics and 700+ for chemistry.

For the 2 years of my JC life, I was an active member of the fencing team, representing the school for quite a few competitions and one international competition in another country. I won a team gold medal for a national inter-school competition. I planned the fencing induction camp for my juniors during my second year at JC and was team captain at some of the competitions I competed in. I was also a member of the school entreprenuership society, running the school bookshop and represented the school in two national competition.

My teachers would most likely give me an excellent recommendation. I will not be applying for financial aid.

I am very interested in pursuing a degree in Food Science/Technology or Business Administration. Do you think I have a chance?
