Can you retake your math SAT?

not bad stats…might be a reach but you should definitely apply

What major do you want to be? Architecture?

Oh sweet, real British schools other than Hogwarts have prefects too??

LOL ChandlerBing, yes we have prefects.
And, yep, architecture from AAP, and CAS, well…thinking of anthropology/economics…

LOL ChandlerBing, yes we have prefects.
And, yep, AAP, for architecture, and CAS, well…thinking of anthropology/economics…

My firefox is acting strange.
Anyway, retake SAT Math??? :frowning: is 720 not sufficient??? I was actually happy with my score. Oh, the tragedy that is Complacency! :P

your math score says 620. mistype maybe? but yeah you can’t really (re)take 1 section of the test for the sat.

Yeah, I dunno how that works. Your stats do look good, I’d imagine for Architecture they’d like to see high marks on your maths. I’m in CALS though, so I’m just throwing this out there, haha.

oh… i thought Beansagucheese was referring to my SAT Math Level 1 Subject Test…but yes 620 is below the average sadly…but I really don’t want to retake…
it would be awesome if someone from the Arch school actually chanced me… thanks everyone who has done so so far…
others chance me pleeeeeeeeeease!!

peoppplee!! chancee mee please! lol

If you’re applying to architecture, the your portfolio is going to matter a lot more than any of your SAT scores.

yes, but is prior Art knowledge required? (e.g. art classes) i only did Art until grade 9. Also, can photography and poetry be included in my Cornell portfolio?

Photography, yes. Poetry?

We went to an info session at the college of AAP, and they were very clear that they emphasize drawing in their portfolios. They had us sit and look at the portfolios that were accepted, and they were excellent (and intimidating).

I suppose you could use poetry if you were visually artistic about it (calligraphy, illustrations, etc.)

I think you’re definitely going to need to already know how to draw decently to get into an architecture or art program at Cornell.
