thanks in advance!

yeh if you have good essays... then anything is possible

thank you
wat do u think abt my SATII scores?

you have good ec's and sat scores.
penn like all other ivy leagues (with the exception for cornell) is pretty much a crapshoot.
being an international study is pretty disadvantageous, and esp. if you're indian.
but i think that you have a pretty good chance.
did you take your sat subjects yet?

Your scores are fine, they won't get you in nor will they keep you out. It's all the other stuff that matters. However, being an international applicant with financial aid is a significant disadvantage for Penn. Which school are you applying to (SEAS, Wharton, CAS)?

"thank you
wat do u think abt my SATII scores?"

? you didn't post them did you?

thank you all
@Acceptd: I wanted to take your opinion that what SAT scores would be optimum for me.

@Excursions: I am applying to Wharton
Also, could u all chance me for Cornell and other Ivies(remember that i am still in grade xi)
i would be thankful to all of you

How is ur weighted average lower

Good chances at all felt stanford and ivys

thank you afitscher
by the way it was an incorrect fact
my GPA is UW:93
W:95

however could u comment whether i will get FinAid or not from these colleges if? i am selected

regards,
romil

well, the ivies meet 100% of demonstrated need, so it really depends on what they call "demonstrated need" and to be honest, i think it's going to be extremely difficult to get into the top ivies, as the people who do usually have an extreme hook and most of your activities are school and regional level, instead of national and international. but for penn and cornell you have a solid chance.

don't stress too much about the "chancing." i got chanced a definite in and got straight out rejected, and i know people who had the opposite happen. especially this time in your junior year, don't worry about it too much- just focus on school and keeping your grades up. remember, que sera sera- whatever will be, will be.

Hey, I'm also an Indian........nothing like your ECs.....SAT 1 - 2300.....SAT 2 - 2400....same position as you mate.....by the way, which city you live in ?

hello i live in lucknow

Chalo, bhai...just relax. Spend a lot of time on your essays and be true to yourself and really talk about life in India, because it is completely different from over here, especially in Lucknow. Diversity my friend, diversity.

Consider giving the TOEFL. Some colleges require it for Indian students. Is english your first language?

i believe you got a solid shot at Cornell I think you said
