Just finished my junior year at a "famous" VA school. GPA 4.05. Took AP Chem, AP Bio, AP Eng and BC calculus along with the usual other subjects. Am planning to take multiple variable algebra, AP literature, AP environmental science, AP history, Spanish 5 next year. GPA should go a little higher (I hope).

EC's, created a club at school to save animals and volunteer with MADD.
Play tennis for school team, and play for the chamber orchestra.

Summer internship with prominent scientist at Smithsonian.

I am very well liked by all teachers and should be getting solid letters of recommendations from my teachers.

Please chance me.

chance you for what?

Forgive me which colleges to apply to.

Forgot to add my PSAT and SAT scores.

PSAT 230
SAT 2200 Weak in the essay department

what colleges are you applying to?

Here are the schools I am looking at. I do not have a final list yet.
UVA
William & Mary
George Mason
Virginia Tech
RPI
Carnegie Melon
John’s Hopkins
Cornell
Vanderbilt
Case Western
University of Maryland, College Park
Emory

UVA - IN (since your in-state. this is my first choice school, but i’m OOS. might be a little harder for you if your in NOVA)
VT - IN (safety for you)
Because of your high SAT score, rigorous course load, good EC’s, and solid rec’s, I see you having a good shot at W&M, CMU, JHU, Vandy, MD, and Emory
Cornell - low reach (but you have a decent shot)
I lack personal knowledge of the other schools
