*Please answer honestly and give me an advice on which
course/major (L&S or CoE) I should apply for

Do I have a chance in UCLA's Engineering or Business as well?

Bump! Please reply people. I want to know your honest and insightful thoughts on my chances and which major should I apply before I properly start working on the application for Berkeley and/or UCLA

seroiusly? nobody? man i’m pretty disapppointed with CC.

I can’t give an actual percentage chance of admission, but I can say this: your credentials are at least as good as others’ I know who have been admitted, but the fact that you aren’t a resident of California may hurt your application. It’s a public school, so our admissions officers may want to take Californians first. But apparently starting next year the UC system are favouring more students from out of the country in order to make more money! So basically you have a definite chance and good luck!

Your numbers, extracurriculars, etc look good, but being an OOS applicant may hurt you. But do apply, because I know people who had a couple weak scores but got in mainly because of their essays. I don’t know if there’s anything you can do to make you seem as a more favorable candidate, but definitely show your personality through your essay. Good luck!

Your scores/ECs are impressive. I would say that your chances will depend on your essay. I thought public schools won’t look at essays much since so many people apply but a lot of people with low test scores were admitted this year, so I think essays made the difference. Good luck!!!

Oh wow, yeah thanks for the advices. but can anyone tell me if I have a better chance at UCB’s engineering or L&S (the undeclared business option). How about UCLA?
