I'm a senior that is very stressed out about college apps...my dream school has always been UC Berkeley. Please chance me:

- Awards: NHS, Finalist for State-Board of Education student member, various school awknowledgments...
-Volunteer: about 500 hours
- hardships: lost a home to foreclosure, and learned English as a second language.
- First Generation American/First Generation College student

Please chance me for UCB, and some of the other UC's that you know of...

You have an okay chance. A definite reach but it’s not impossible. I got in with a 1780 SAT score but my subjects tests were in the 700’s, AP exams really good, high gpa, and dedicated ECs. All you have to do is pretty much wait it out until the letters come back. You never know!!!

Wait a minute - you can submit 2 SAT subject tests? I thought you had to send all of them!!! I just sent my 580 misbubbled French paper along with my two 800s! NOOOOOOOOOO! Can someone please clarify this?

Anyway, I think Berkeley is a pretty high reach for you, but as said above, it’s not impossible. Just hope that they like your essays and ECs, and good luck with admissions!

mmm. you have an okay chance. bit of a reach given your sat and gpa. UCB and UCLA are holistic admissions though, so they can get funky. i’m not sure how other UCs would go…esp b/c they’re more numbers based.
