Please Chance Me

I am trying to decide if I want to apply to BU Early Decision or Regular Decision. Please chance me for ED.

My gpa is 3.65, ACT 27, SAT 1260 w/o writing at a Private, College Preparatory school
I am involoved in a lot of leadership positions in my extra-curriculars:
Student Council Treasurer, award-winning student newspaper editor, National Honors Society, Ambassador program, Mentoring, and service club.
I have played varsity soccer since freshman year and was an intern for NASA, Glenn Research Center, this summer.

I am also thinking about applying to George Washington University Early Decision, but have to choose either BU or GWU. What are my chances getting into BU early decision and regular decision.

what’s your SAT with all 3 sections together?

only apply early decision if you truly want to go to the school.

Yeah, I would agree with the previous poster. It’s difficult to prove that there are benefits to applying early other than knowing exactly where you’re going earlier, and if you’re not sure, then don’t do it. You won’t gain any advantages admissions-wise, and you’re even disadvantaged when it comes to things like comparing financial aid packages from different schools, etc.

I’d say your academics are right around the edge of being accepted to BU. Remember, that there is a College of General Studies at BU, where the university sometimes sticks students that aren’t as qualified academically for two years to do a general studies program before moving on to one of the other colleges. Also, think about what you are interested in for a major, and compare the respective programs at BU and GWU. Contact the staff from each department for information, even.

Good luck.

My SAT total is 1770. I am retaking in in October so I will have one other set of scores to use before applying. Thanks
