I have a double citizenship US-Russia, lived and studied for the whole life in Russia.
English is not native, TOEFL is 105
SAT: CR 660 M 670 W 680
SAT Subjects - plan to take World History, Literature and Math one, expect 680 - 650 -700+ respectively.
GPA 3.8 (Can someone explain how is it possible to have GPA like 4.3 out of 4.0?)
EC:
volunteering in museum (humanitarian center)
Theater
Horseback riding
Work at museum (translations, help with excursions for internationals)
Our school doesn't have IB, but has a kind of courses on advanced level - I've taken all availible
Also, I went to Summer College, recieved A's for both courses and professors offered me to write recommendation letters
I'm applying to Arts and Sciences, plan to take Art History major
My biggest concern is SAT scores, I've retaken it, but not sure that scores will be much higher.

Thanks!

anyone, please?

(Can someone explain how is it possible to have GPA like 4.3 out of 4.0?)

It is because AP or IB classes would be weighted on a 5 point scale, whereby an “A” would be worth 5 pts.

I do not think your SAT test scores (and projected SAT II’s) will make you as competitive as many international applicants and therefore think Cornell would be a high reach for you. You should apply anyway and see what happens!

for non native speaking your english scores are pretty good work on your math scores

thank you.

Well, well… very well, indeed. Better than me in sats especially. however i have applied early decision to engineering. I think you will get accepted. But make sure to apply to other institutions.
P.S. How am i supposed to create threads here?
