I didn’t do my high school from the US but my grades translate to be:
GPA: Grade 9/10/11: 4.0 out of a scale of 4. (Had 10 Subjects with 5A+s and 5As)
Medal of Academic Excellence (2011) (Till grade 11)
Merit Based Scholarship (100% Tuition Free)

I took a gap year after grade 11 because I got seriously ill. Flew out of country for diagnosis and all. Got diagnosed with a rare disorder. Rejoined after a year and my GPA’s been a bit low since it’s been pretty difficult to manage everything while adjusting to the whole sickness thing. Grade 12 GPA: Around 3.2 ish but my grades are showing improvement. But I’m taking Advanced Courses for Biology, Chemistry and Physics in my senior year.

SATs: SAT1 superscore: 1970 (I know it’s very low) Will retake in Jan.
SAT2: Taking it tomorrow.

Since my grade 12’s been a bit low, I’ve been very ambivalent about the schools I plan on applying to. I really wanted to get a ‘chance me’ before I sent in my apps.

Reiterating my list again:
Adelphi- NYU 7 year Dental Program
- Muhlenberg- Upenn 7 year Dental Program
- Case Western University 6 year Dental Program
- SUNY Stony Brook 7 year Dental Program
- Westminster College Penn – CWU 7 year Dental Program
- Johns Hopkins University
- Harvard College
- Columbia University
- Drexel University
- Hofstra University

Thank you in advance! :)

Hi!
Stellar ECs! However, they seem so amazing that the colleges might wonder if they are real (look at the hrs you said you put into it… you sure you did them that long?)

GPA is kinda low for 12th grade, but you have a reason so make sure your counselor or you tell the colleges about it.
SAT is low, bring up to at least 2100 and your ivy chances are realistic.

I also recommend you choose more match/reach schools. Your schools are either too easy or too hard.

NYU - high match
Upenn - reach
case ???
stony - safety
west ???
Johns Hopkins - low reach
harvard - sorry that SAT is probably not gonna make it, but of course you should still apply
columbia - reach
drexel - safety
hof ???

And chance back asap!
